P.T.O

Our P.T.O. needs the participation of all parents in order to be a strong and useful organization.  There are many ways parents can participate in P.T.O.  First of all, all families are being asked to join the P.T.O.  The dues are $10.00 per family.  The dues can be paid at any time, but they should be paid by the first P.T.O. meeting of the school year.  The following are some other ways parents can help the P.T.O: 

• Call and remind parents about P.T.O. meetings.
• Provide child care during P.T.O. meetings.
• Provide refreshments for meetings.
• Help with fundraising events.
• Help with special events, such as the school-wide Thanksgiving dinner.
• Serve on a P.T.O. committee, such as teacher appreciation.
• Volunteer in the library.
• Volunteer to help teachers by preparing materials, listening to children read, tutoring, going on field trips, etc. 

One recent accomplishment of our P.T.O. is the new play structure for our elementary children.  Our P.T.O. raised the money for the structure, volunteers installed it, and our children are now enjoying it.
